Joshua Wells, Bass Gary Larsen, Vocals/Guitar Nora Patterson, Vocals Josh Hefner, Percussion Stevie Billeaud, Guitar Andrew Poe, Vocals/Keys/Percussion/Programming The Colourist Orange County indie-pop band made up of Adam Castilla on guitar and vocals, Justin Wagner on keys, Kollin Johannsen on bass and Maya Tuttle on drums and vocals If some of the members seem slightly familiar, it’s probably because they are. Castilla and Tuttle were in a group called Paper Thin Walls that disbanded shortly after playing a much sought-after spot at a Led Zepplin after party in London. Fortunately Castilla had some musically inclined friends in the form of Wagner and Johannsen, who were recruited, and The Colourist was born. The time to get into The Colourist’s catchy indie-pop couldn’t be better, with their sunny tracks the perfect soundtrack to summer BBQs and lazy afternoons in the park. Taking inspiration from Of Montreal and Phoenix, the band say their music allows them to tackle sad topics in happy ways. - Feral Fauna formerly Audiafauna feral fauna is the musical evolution of the audiafauna family ( http://www.facebook.com/audiafauna ). while the band underwent changes inf congiuration, their production retained the vision of acoustic instrumentation coupled with live electronics. feral fauna is an experiment in reclaiming our own wild, or “feral,” roots. feral fauna is a species of wild sound - by weaving sultry female vocals with acoustic instrumentation and electronic production, feral fauna create intriguing musical contrasts between acoustic & electronic, organic & digital, feminine & masculine. feral fauna bridges the genres of soul, pop, & electronica, and invoke a hybrid of Adele, Fiona Apple, The Black Keys, Emancipator and Moby. |
