The Lonely Forest
John Van Deusen
Eric Sturgeon
Braydn Krueger
Tony Ruland

The Lonely Forest is an American indie rock band formed in Anacortes, Washington in 2005. The four piece ensemble, consisting of members John Van Deusen, Tony Ruland, Braydn Krueger, and Eric Sturgeon, has released two EP’s, three studio albums, and has placed songs on The CW’s popular television series The Vampire Diaries. Lead singer, John Van Deusen, won Seattle Weekly’s “Best Of Award” for “Best Vocalist, Male” (2011). The Band made their national television debut on August 2, 2011 on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Performing two songs off their album Arrows.
At its core, The Lonely Forest’s music features Van Deusen's soaring vocals and keyboard melodies wrapped tightly around Ruland's expansive guitar anchored by a heavy yet nimble rhythm section. The Lonely Forest got its start by winning the EMP’s under-21 Sound Off! competition.
Chris Walla, guitarist and producer for Grammy-nominated rock band Death Cab for Cutie, made The Lonely Forest his first signing when he launched Trans with the support of Death Cab for Cutie’s major label home, Atlantic Records. Trans and The Lonely Forest released Arrows (2011) through ILG, Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group. In addition to Walla’s role as label head, Walla produced Arrows at Sound City studio in Los Angeles, Tiny Telephone in San Francisco, and in his own Portland-based studio, Alberta Court. He also mixed three tracks - “Be Everything,” “Turn Off This Song” and “Live There.” The rest of the Arrows was mixed by John Goodmanson (Girls, Nada Surf, Owl City).

Cumulus
Alexandra Niedzialkowski, Lance Umble, Leah Julius, and friends
"I Never Meant It To Be Like This" places Cumulus squarely alongside contemporary acts like Best Coast, The Dum Dum Girls, and Tennis, while reaching back to a not-so-distant golden age of indie pop when good bands had hits, and the knack for wide-readership hooks (Elastica, Veruca Salt, Juliana Hatfield) and loud guitars (Yo La Tengo, My Bloody Valentine’s first album) didn’t preclude a heroic dose of delicacy (Heavenly, the Delgados, Velocity Girl, Tiger Trap). All of which is to say you could almost mistake Cumulus— who appear, let’s face it, pretty adorable—for twee if they didn’t rock so commandingly.

Sentinel
Tarabud ~ Vocals & Bass
Dennis ~ Guitar
Billy ~ Drums
 ---from Oakland

The seeds of this sunny seaside dream-pop began when Tarabud (vocals & bass), Dennis Bestafka (guitars), & Billy Mowery (drums) joined forces after a chance meeting in San Francisco, CA. With their mutual desire from the likes of Cocteau Twins/Smith/U2/My BloodyValentine/Cure, all 80's synth and 90's dream-pop, they easily shared inspirations to be creative together. With an extensive catalog over the years their self released albums include: Sentinel (self-titled) -2004, The Singles -2005, Sequels & Hunches E.P. –2007, Kites Without Strings -2008, For Days Deep (2/2010), Jet Black Single, Dark End single -(2011), Somewhere Else Single (2012), and various Christmas Covers, and several videos!
