High energy, lyric heavy, acoustic guitar lead songs about life in contemporary society. The sound is often described as a blend between early Bob Dylan, Violent Femmes, and Tupac. They have shared the stage with Minus the Bear, Young the Giant, Manchester Orchestra, Max Bemis of Say Anything, The Lumineers, Fences, Los Amigos Invisibles, Mike Coykendall, Ida, Hey Marseilles, and many more along the West Coast. Everyone Is Dirty Sivan Gur-Arieh, Christopher Daddio, Tony Sales, and Tyler English. -From Oakland, California. -Oakland's grungy, violin-wielding Everyone Is Dirty has been favorited by Noise-Pop & KQED's top 10 bands of the Bay, and signed with Breakup Records at the beginning of 2014 to release a string of singles (most notably, their acclaimed hit, Mama No!!) followed by their debut full-length, out in March. Surf Bored members of Tumbleweed Wanderers Jack Blauvelt - Drums/Guitar John Riccetelli - Guitar Nick Carroll - Bass Guitar T.J. Mimbs - Guitar/Drums -Athens, GA -Surf Bored-- a collaborative project featuring members of Athens bands Dana Swimmer (Blauvelt, Riccitelli), The Woodgrains (Carroll), and The District Attorneys (Mimbs)-- was born of the hot, wet Athens, GA Summertime blues. The Parmesans -From San Francisco, California. -The Parmesans are a string trio from San Francisco. Part contemporary folk, part alternative country, sort of blues and not quite bluegrass, their music centers on vocal harmony supported by arrangements for acoustic guitar, mandolin, double bass and trumpet. They released their debut LP, Wolf Eggs, in 2013 followed by the Nature's Burrito EP in 2014. |
