Laurel and Williamstown, New Jersey that began in 2008. Since then, they have released two EP’s, an acoustic EP, a split with Boston pop punk band Transit, a compilation of old songs and two full length albums. Taking influence from such pop punk acts as Blink-182, Saves the Day and Taking Back Sunday, Man Overboard play a brand of upbeat and poppy pop punk with the emotion of 90’s emo acts such as The Promise Ring. Well known for its motto, “Defend Pop Punk,” the band is currently signed to Rise Records. Forever Came Calling Joe Candelaria - Vocals/Guitar, John Swaba - Bass, Bryce Esquivel - Drums, Tom Lovejoy - Guitar -from Twentynine Palms, CA -Southern California emo pop band Forever Came Calling formed in 2006 with no greater aspirations than covering songs by Taking Back Sunday and Senses Fail. The band was founded by guitarist/vocalist Joe Candelaria and drummer Jimmy Dale, shuffling through multiple lineups that would grow to include bassist John Swaba and various other players as Forever Came Calling got more serious. They self-released the EPs This Is Me Dreaming and HopE.P.assion before being included in the documentary film No Room for Rockstars, shot during the 2010 Warped Tour and focusing on a handful of acts. This exposure gained them a wider audience, and they released a split EP with Handguns the next year, featuring new drummer Bryce Esquivel. The debut album Contender surfaced in 2012, and shortly thereafter new guitarist Isaac Taylor joined the camp. New releases and touring came on a regular basis, with a split EP with Family Thief arriving in 2013 followed by second full-length What Matters Most in 2014. Souvenirs Nolan, Riley, Tim, Vince -from Carpinteria, CA -"These guys make the sort of music that makes me remember why i fell in love with the genre, why i fell in love with music. Souvenirs is one of those bands that is a true delight. With every release they grow by leaps and bounds. I wan this band to blow up and not for the petty satisfaction to say "well i listened to them when they were just...." My satisfaction would be to see them explode. Thanks Souvenirs you guys are awesome and I hope people recognize that soon!" Such A Mess Derek, Sebastian,Mark, David, Jojo -from San Gabriel Valley, California -Such a Mess was born out of the early days of the sun-soaked California pop punk revival, when members from several So-Cal bands began writing songs together for fun. In 2010, Such a Mess released their first song demo, "Times Like These", which quickly began gathering strong buzz online, followed by the Times Like These EP, produced by Johnny Liu (Stanley and the Search), in December 2011. From the song and EP's popularity, the band won the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, securing a spot on the 2012 Vans Warped Tour. After a long writing period throughout 2013 (including a second consecutive Warped Tour spot), Such a Mess released their debut LP, Good Intentions Giving Way, on April 29, 2014. The LP, co-produced by Johnny Liu and Kyle Black (All Time Low, New Found Glory, Pierce the Veil), highlights the band's strong punk rock roots, juxtaposed against a new-found emo revivalist affinity. The band has continued to dive deeper into that emotional space. "We're not the happy boys we were a few years ago. Let's face it, life sucks and it gets the best of us. This is us pouring our hearts out to the world." |
