Fronted by singer/guitarist Fred Cole, the band also included singer/bassist Fred’s wife, Toody Cole, and drummer Andrew Loomis. Veterans of Portland's independent rock scene, Dead Moon combined dark and lovelorn themes with punk and country music influences into a stripped-down sound. Fred & Toody are back on the road, performing a stripped-down set of songs ranging throughout the course of their decades long career. Ride The Blinds Chris Guthridge, Billy Cramer, Nick Cramer -from San Francisco -With flavors reminiscent of Led Zeppelin and soulful traces of Robert Johnson, this is rock music that allows for guitar and drum solos to evolve with every performance. Ride the Blinds takes the timelessness of the blues and adds it to progressive nature of rock. An animalistic yet virtuoso drummer, and the perfect edge of the harmonica add further distinction to already heightened musicianship. The music is an evolution from the vintage rock era that is based more on proficient skill and band chemistry than in genre type. Skookum Sean Salazar, Patrick Calilung, Brendan Tidd, Brian Shima -from Oakland, CA -Skookum is a Western Blues Garage band out of Oakland California. Consisting of the four members Sean Salazar, Patrick Calilung, Brendan Tidd and Brian Shima. Their sounds being influenced from The Soledad Brothers,The Range Rats, to old spaghetti western films with a modern twist. A stripped downraw sound keeps it unique and sets the mood from the beginning. |
