Big Fun
-from Los Angeles, CA
-Big Fun is an electronic, alternative rock band from the Greater Los Angeles area. Their noisy, hard hitting, electronic rock style riffs on the idea that things which are scary can also be funny and things that are funny can also be scary. They originally all met in the 2nd grade, and lived in the same neighborhood and went to the same school. Big Fun has been inspired by: Susumu Yokota, Janet Jackson, Limp Bizkit, Lil Jon, Nine Inch Nails, DAF, Smash Mouth, Steve Albini, a lot of electronic stuff, and smooth jazz. Their music can be listed under a bunch of different genres: Dance-Punk, Surf-Punk, Synth-Rock and so on, but they like to describe it as ‘Gutter-Tech”. The sound of Gutter tech is made up of electronic instruments thrown into an abrasive rock environment. (Courtesy of Rising Artists)
