Macerator -from San Francisco, CA -Macerator is a rock band whose members are veterans of the San Francisco music scene. It’s a band of adult musicians who want to bring something beautiful to listeners — and who take great pleasure in kicking your ass! The death of Ralph Stanley prompted a dare among John Stanley, Eve Bekker and Nancie Lualhati to form a SF-country cover band, which in turn rekindled a love for playing and creating original tunes. They developed a devoted fan base. Eventually, Eve moved to France and Macerator adapted into something new with Bruce Ducheneaux and Mo Fleishmann. Bruce and Mo have been the touring powerhouse rhythm section for Assassins of God, Enorchestra, Black Kali Ma and Waycross — separately Bruce was the drummer for Bomb, Spoke Poker & Gary Floyd and Convictions, among others; Mo held the bass down for A Subtle Plague, Hedonist and Kelley Stoltz. The beautiful ass-kicker and multi-instrumentalist, Kristin Sobditch, brings her incredible experiences with Mark Eitzel, The Hollyhocks, Clovis de la Foret, Little Fuzzy and Westward Ho to collaborate with the main songwriters John Stanley and Nancie Lualhati. John’s singular and liquid guitar style was developed after his years with Gels, the Lemurs, Worry Dolls, Clodhopper and the Incorrigible Danny Pearson. Nancie loves song craft and cares most about the power of a melody and the harmonic shapes; and has been in bands such as Dime Box, 17 Reasons, The Incredible Love Machine and had an extensive recording project with the late, great Tom Mallon-McCorgray. What we really want to know is this: Did you feel something? Macerator released its first album on vinyl and digital formats in 2022 on Tom Mallon’s Grifter Records with the expert hand of producer/engineer Desmond Shea. Macerator is regularly featured at the Make-Out Room, the Rite Spot Cafe and the Bottom of the Hill, and other San Francisco venues. You can hear their music on all major music platforms. Macerator is actively seeking to bring their music to your town! Macerator is: Mo Fleishmann, Bruce Ducheneaux, Kristin Sobditch, John Stanley and Nancie Lualhati |
