Their sound is modern and infectious, and prompted The Huffington Post to describe the band as "what you'd get if The Kinks and Vampire Weekend had a Bay Area baby." After six months at John Vanderslice's Tiny Telephone Recording, they released their first full-length- From Timid to Timbuktu- in September 2012 to a collective eyebrow-raise from local music publications. Every member of the band is under the age of twenty. Eager Eyes Chris Maier, Elijah Kusel, and Morgan Litzky. -From Alameda, California. -Currently comprised of Alameda natives Chris Maier, Elijah Kusel, and Morgan Litzky, Eager Eyes strives to remind people of what music is truly about- freedom and beachy guitar riffs. With a relaxed, upbeat sound, Eager Eyes makes contemplative and mellow surf/indie rock filled with youth and character. Their guitar riffs are catchy and original, backed by happy rhythms to drive it along. Before The Brave Jason Perry Stevens, Nicholas Morawiecki, Kyle Redmond Teese, Steven Binnquist, and Beth Garber. -From San Francisco, California. -A folk-rock quintet based in San Francisco, in early 2011 the band's future took a turn. A series of lineup changes and stylistic shifts led to the discovery of a unique and substantive sound, ranging from soulful Ryan Adams-esque ballads to anthems reminiscent of Arcade Fire. Before The Brave fits into the current alternative music scene while not being wholly defined by it. |
