Emerging in the mid-1990s, Jenkins helped shape a defining era of modern rock with songs that fused infectious pop melodies with introspective, often darkly candid lyricism. As a songwriter, Jenkins is recognized for his ability to juxtapose bright, radio-friendly hooks with narratives that explore desire, addiction, emotional vulnerability, and personal conflict. Tracks such as “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Jumper,” “How’s It Going to Be,” and “Never Let You Go” exemplify his signature approach: tightly constructed melodies paired with lyrics that reveal deeper psychological and emotional layers beneath their accessible surfaces. Jenkins’ writing process is highly self-directed and meticulous. Emily Afton -from Oakland, CA -Emily Afton is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and DJ whose emotionally candid songwriting and unmistakable voice bridge the musical worlds of folk, alt-pop, electronica, and what she has described as “queer emo-pop.” Born and raised in San Diego, with roots in the Bay Area (Oakland)—Afton has built a devoted following across California through a decade of dynamic live shows, DIY ethos, and evocative storytelling. Described by NPR as "Utterly charming electro-folk… That's weary of life, but still positive," Afton's music has been featured on shows like Riverdale, Batwoman, and The One That Got Away. She has toured nationally as direct support for Third Eye Blind, performed her feminist pop anthem “The Veil” for an audience of 40,000 at the 2017 San Francisco Women's March, and shared stages with a diverse array of artists in cities across the U.S. and around the world. Her 2024 sophomore album, Circaa, marked a bold artistic evolution, earning praise for its lush, polished production and deeply personal exploration of identity, heartbreak, and self-determination. The project also earned Afton features on KCRW and recognition at the LA International Film Festival for her music video / queer micro-thriller short film accompanying the album's single "Running Out of Time." Now, Afton is entering a new creative era with a forthcoming alt-country/folk EP, due out this fall. The EP’s first single, "It's You," arrives July 24, introducing a new, retro-inspired indie-rock sound, while preserving the emotional honesty that has become Afton’s signature.
